Matt - who was driving when the van got stuck?
By the way, thanks for the updates. Ben's ride is epic! I think of him riding when I wake up, eat, watch tv and go back to sleep - the whole time he's riding. Amazing! Wish him well! - Peder
"Ben Popp is in 9th position on the road. He has passed through Plains, KS. He is currently averaging 12.65mph at this point after 1393 miles into the race. He is 35 minutes behind Claudio Clarindo.
Ben had some interesting news yesterday in his camp. His follow van got stuck in mud. Yes that's right, they got stuck.
Fortunately nothing happened to Ben down the road. Ben was relieved once he climbed Bobcat Pass in New Mexico yesterday. He will enjoy the flat terrain he now has for a while.
Ben decided he would ride through the night while the wind and temperature was cool. He is now eager to have a sleep at some stage in the next few hours."
